David de Montaigne
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Founder and international energy-sector executive with nearly five decades of experience across oilfield services, logistics, power generation, renewable energy and infrastructure development. Beginning his career with the Schlumberger Group in 1975, his work has spanned Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, South America and Asia. At Biomass Asia Inc., he leads project origination, strategic structuring, investor engagement and the development of scalable biochar and carbon-removal infrastructure.
Bunny de Montaigne
President - Corporate Secretary & Director of Socio-Economic Development
Maribeth de Montaigne leads community partnerships and socioeconomic development initiatives for Biomass Asia Inc. She has played a central role in building long-term relationships with agricultural communities and developing biomass supply partnerships with farmers and cooperatives. She also leads the development of the company’s Platinum Biochar initiative, designed to deliver enhanced soil benefits while generating additional economic value for participating farming communities.
Dr. Steve Waterfield
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Dr. Steven Waterfield is a senior power-sector executive with more than four decades of international experience across engineering, construction, commissioning, operations and renewable-energy development. His career includes senior leadership roles with PowerGen International and E.ON, including responsibility for renewable energy development in Southeast Asia. He has been involved in power generation projects exceeding 10 GW, including major assignments on 1,400 MW, 2,100 MW and 1,220 MW generation facilities. At Biomass Asia Inc., he leads engineering, project execution and operational delivery.
Dr. Ramon Santos
Chief Strategy & Policy Officer (CSPO)
Brigadier General (Ret.) Dr. Ramon Santos is a distinguished former senior government official, diplomat and Special Forces officer. He previously served as Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Energy and Undersecretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, where he contributed to national energy and environmental policy development. During his military career he served as Military Attaché to France and Cultural Attaché to China. At Biomass Asia Inc., he provides senior strategic guidance on government relations, regulatory engagement and national policy alignment.
Joel Paculba
Head of Project Development – Biomass Logistics, Feedstock & MRV Operations
Joel Paculba is a licensed Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer with more than two decades of experience in biomass resource development, agricultural supply chains and logistics operations across the Philippines. He has been instrumental in biomass contract development, feedstock resource assessments, farmer engagement and delivery system design for biomass energy projects. At Biomass Asia Inc., he leads biomass collection, aggregation, logistics coordination, testing support and MRV-linked operational systems for the Mina biochar platform.
